The Calne Tree Planting Partnership began in December 2020. To date, it has achieved the following:
- Given away 14 donated birch trees during 2021.
- Provided advice to River Warriors Calne regarding species and planting of trees in their community orchard.
- Developed the Calne Tree of the Year competition that is managed by Calne in Bloom and funded by Calne Town Council.
- Provided much information about the trees of Calne and up to date information about trees in general via the Facebook page.
- Provided advice for the planting of trees by Northlands GP surgery during early 2022.
- Provided information about trees and wildlife to support the applications for designated Local Green Spaces as part of the Calne Community Neighbourhood Plan.
